Congrats to URI team Vapegate!  On March 12 they won 2nd place in the Health Tech Hackathon sponsored by Johnson & Johnson at Cornell University. The team spent 48 hours designing, creating and presenting their innovative product which helps smokers reduce their nicotine addiction.

Competition Objectives

  1. Deliver a digital solution that uses in-home connected devices to improve care for patients with chronic/long-term diseases
  2. There are 8 fundamental things that are the source cause of 80% core health issues. Help break the cycle on at least one. 8 behaviors: sleep, inactivity, diet, nutrition, smoking, non-adherence, substance abuse, not going to the doctor every year.
