OSHEAN is a nonprofit coalition of universities, hospitals, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing innovative Internet-based technology solutions for its member institutions and the communities they serve.
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who wants the opportunity to help contribute back to the open source community by building and maintaining the tools OSHEAN uses to manage its network.
- Candidates must be comfortable with working in a Linux environment, and have some experience developing web content and applications. Perl and PHP experience are a plus, as are basic Linux system administration skills.
- Candidates must be familiar with developing software and the related tools, such as version repositories.
- Some experience in computer networking topology will be necessary.
This position is a hourly, unpaid internship in a relaxed office environment. The work week is a minimum of twenty hours. Work hours are flexible.
