CSC 499 – Project in Computer Science

CSC 499, Project in Computer Science, is a required course for the Computer Science BS, the Data Science BA, and the Data Science BS. (Data Science majors interested in statistical consulting may use STA/DSP 490 instead.) Undergraduates are expected to enroll in their junior or senior year. Students in this course work 12-15 hours per week during a semester or over the summer on a capstone project in computer science or data science that will prepare them for careers in industry or for graduate study.

While most students do an internship, it is also possible to do a project with a faculty member on campus.
