Women represent half the U.S labor force and more then half of all undergraduates, yet just 18% of scientists and engineers employed in industry today are women.That statistic isn’t likely to change soon given that women still represent a mere 20% or less of graduates with majors in engineering, physics, computer science and similar fields, according to the National Science Foundation.

The department of computer science and statistics encourages all female students to achive academic success, embrace technical professions and learn the skills of leadership.
