This is mainly Microsoft based development utilizing the .Net framework, Visual Studio and VB.Net along with SQL server. After the training period is over, if both parties are satisfied with how things are progressing they would be hired as a full time web developer.

The training program will be full-time (M-F 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM), and will be paid. We are looking to start the program June 15th, and will be taking on 5 – 6 graduates.

NUWC Summer Internship Now Seeking Applicants for 2012

Posted: February 24, 2012

NUWC is currently looking for a student, preferably one who is a sophomore or even a freshman this year, that would be interested in a summer intern position at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Middletown, RI. We are looking for an energetic and reliable student with an interest in scientific programming and possibly a little web design knowledge (useful but not required). They should know MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point) and would have the opportunity to work and gain experience in a professional environment.

NUWC currently has a link with URI through the College of Engineering for this program (http://www.egr.uri.edu/coe/NUWC.shtml) that any college student (URI or else were) can apply through. We are currently in the process of looking at resumes posted and wanted to let students know that there is an opportunity available.

If a student is interested after looking at the application process and generates a resume, they can forward me the resume in addition to submitting it to Sally Marinelli (though not necessary). Resumes are posted on the site for NUWC to see without student names to promote fairness.
